At Homebody Designed, we believe that home should be more than just a place—it should be a retreat, a space that truly reflects who you are and makes you feel at ease. Life is busy, and while trends come and go, comfort and functionality should always be timeless. We don’t design just for aesthetics; we create spaces that work for the way you live, so you don’t feel the need to escape—because home is where you’re happiest.
I’m Tait Loughridge, the lead designer and co-founder of Homebody Designed, and I’ve always had an instinct for reimagining spaces. Whether rearranging my childhood bedroom for the 20th time or sculpting 3D ceramics during my fine arts studies at the University of Houston, I’ve always been drawn to shaping environments. While my career path took me through corporate roles in customer service and administration, and even a stint in project management, the pull toward interior design never left. Encouraged by family and friends who saw what I had long overlooked, I finally embraced my passion and launched Homebody Designed.
Alongside myself is my husband, Lee, whose background in teaching, debate, and project management brings structure and strategic thinking to our business. Together, we’re building relationships with vendors and suppliers, expanding our offerings, and growing Homebody Designed with a focus on approachable, stress-free interior design.
What sets us apart? Function first, always. I have a knack for spatial awareness, walking into a room and immediately seeing its possibilities—from simple refreshes to full transformations. I specialize in moody, cozy, and livable designs that don’t just look great but make sense for your everyday life.
We offer both full-service interior design for local clients and residential e‑design for those farther away. Whether it’s a single-room refresh or a whole‑home transformation, our goal is the same—to help you create a home you love, without the pressure of chasing trends, but with all the comfort and personality that makes a space truly yours. As we grow, we’re continuing to build lasting partnerships, expand our services, and turn houses into homes designed for homebodies.
We’re proud to be Black-owned, veteran-owned, and LGBTQ-owned. Co-owned by Lee, a U.S. Army veteran, and myself, Homebody Designed reflects our shared values of authenticity, comfort, and community in every project we take on.
